Big Fish Friday Competition
Are you pre-fishing Friday before any of the tournaments?
Do you like the idea of possibly putting some extra money in your pocket?
Would you like to donate some extra fish to the Food Bank?
If so, here is what you need to do.
- Go to this link (Big Fish Friday registration)and sign up for the Big Fish Friday competition by 8:00 AM Friday morning of the competition.
- Go out and fish..there is no shotgun start.
- Bring in your 2 biggest properly bled and iced tuna prior to the Captains Meeting and turn them in for weigh in by 4pm.
- Your tuna will be tied together and labeled, then placed on ice to be weighed Saturday before the tournament dinner.
- The winner will be announced during the dinner.
Big Fish Friday Rules:
- You must be registered for the BFF prior to 8:00 AM the morning of the competition.
- Registration is $100 per event.
- You must properly bleed and ice your fish
- You must turn your tuna in by 4:00 PM prior to the Captains meeting Friday afternoon.
- The combined weight of the 2 largest tuna will win the competition.
- All BFF tuna will be weighed on Saturday and the winner will be announced during the tournament dinner
- The payout will be 100% of the funds collected paid out to the top three places 70/20/10.
We will be accepting additional fish for the food bank on Friday and Saturday

Welcome to the 2011 Oregon Tuna Classic Tournament Series registration. Teams are competing to catch up to the five biggest tuna in aggregate weight during the tournament hours. All teams MUST complete the registration application and have paid their entry fees prior to the dead line for each event. A late entry fee of $100 per each event will apply for late registration. See late registration dead line dates. Registration for teams wishing to compete in "All Events" will close at the entry deadline July 20th and August 3rd for each of the first two events and reopen after each of those events. Registration for "All Events" will close and not reopen at the event deadline August 17th.

Team Information
- Team registration is for four (4) anglers for purposes of shirts, meals, and raffle tickets, but you may have six (6) anglers on the vessel fishing. Teams may register anglers #5 & #6 during initial registration in order to receive shirts, meals, and raffle tickets. Regardless of online registered anglers, ALL participants on the vessel must have completed and signed the liability waiver.
Every team will receive per event:
- Tournament entry
- Banquet tickets (qty 4)
- Captains bucket (qty 1) various items include tuna tags, vendor gifts, instructions
- Beverage tickets (qty 8)
- Raffle tickets (qty 4)
One Time Only Items:
- Official otc shirts (qty 4)
- Official tournament flag (qty 1)
Side jackpots:
- Biggest fish... $100.00 per team... 50% payout (each event)
- Pelagic fish... $100.00 per team... 50% payout (each event)
Purse winnings:
- Heaviest 5 fish... $3,000.00
- 2nd heaviest fish... $2,000.00
- 3rd heaviest fish... $1,000.00

Weather and cancelation:
The Oregon Tuna Classic does not have a pre-event forecasted weather cancellation policy. A weather advisory will be sent via e-mail to registered participants, and updated on the OTC website after 3:00pm on the Thursday prior to the events.
The Executive Board of the OTC reserves the right to cancel, at their discretion, the fishing portion of any event at any time. The remainder of the event will take place as scheduled along with the raffle and BBQ.
