Newport - July 22nd

Newport is the kickoff for the Oregon Tuna Classic Tournament event series. This year's entrants will be departing from the Port of Newport. South Beach in Newport will play host to the tuna check in, as well as the festivities including a BBQ hosted by community leader Rogue Brewing. The mandatory Captains meeting will be held at 6:00pm on July 22nd. at the Rogue Brewery. The Newport event will be an exciting time both on and off the water. With many things to do in the area, including bay fishing and crabbing, shopping, whale watching, tours of historical lighthouses and state parks, there is something for everyone.
